Today we are trying to transfer our Blog from the old 2012 page to the new 2013.

We have been having fun finding lots of ways to use our computers and ipads to do our Inquiry. We have a student teacher in our class. Her name is Miss Shamy ans she's going to teach us all next week.

We have a new boy in our class. Heis called Xavier. That makes two Xaviers now. We have been learning about healthy classrooms.

We had our first culture afternoon today. Maaka taught us some new songs and talked about tikanga. Did you know that tikanga is like rules and Respect and Responsibility? We sang our old songs too

Making putiputi

Today mrs heal showed us a video of how to weave puti puti. She didn't know how to do it but she watched the video and learned. It was hard at first. Some of the boys gave up. It was so fun and the puti puti are cool.

Room 9 have named our new lake RotoIhutai (Lake Linwood)

Room 9 really love French knitting! Whenever they have a spare moment the knitting comes out. We are having a competition to knit the longest piece.
